Why grafted is greener

Natural health

Because grafted vegetable plants have stronger natural defences to pests and diseases, they grow successfully with less chemical intervention compared to non-grafted plants.

From the commercial nursery where they start life to your own garden, fewer pesticides are needed to keep them in tip-top condition. This means less soil pollution and cleaner, purer food for your table.

Growing grafted is even greener than growing from seed. Because the plants the seeds are taken from aren’t grafted, more chemicals are used in their commercial production. And seed-raised home-grown plants aren’t as robust as grafted plants, so you could find yourself using more pesticides to keep them performing.

Without a doubt, grafted vegetables are the greenest way to enjoy all the benefits of fresh, healthy produce.
